Archiving requests

πŸ‘₯ Roles and permissions

The following roles can archive requests:

  • Administrators with manager permissions

  • Compliance managers with manager permissions

  • Users with manager permissions

  • Limited access users with manager permissions

Archiving a request removes it from view, but doesn’t completely delete it from Hyperproof. This is helpful should you need to access an archived request in the future. For information on unarchiving, see Unarchiving requests.

Requests can be linked to audits or assessments. Note that a user does not need to be added to an audit or an assessment to be added to a request.

Archived requests and their associated objects are hidden from these areas of Hyperproof:

  • Archived requests on the Work Items > Request tab.

  • Archived requests on controls on the Details tab > Links > Requests.

  • Tasks on archived requests on the Work Items > Tasks tab.

  • Issues on archived requests on the Work Items > Issues tab.

The following items are hidden when viewing an archived request. They are restored if the request is unarchived.

  • Proof linked on an archived request's Proof.

  • Controls linked on an archived request's Controls.

  • Objects linked on an archived request's Linked objects except for the parent audit.

  • Tasks on an archived request that were in the Not started or In progress status are automatically cancelled. They remain in the Cancelled status if the request is unarchived.

πŸ“ Note

If the evaluation's reference field has ever been archived and later unarchived, Hyperproof adds _Unarchived to that field.
