Roles and permissions

The following roles can configure due dates to generate approval notifications:

  • Managers or contributors on the policy who are organization administrators.

  • Managers or contributors on the policy who are organization compliance managers.

Throughout the policy approval workflow, Hyperproof sends notifications and reminders to keep stakeholders informed about their work and the progress of the approval.

Notifications include a link to open the approval, allowing the approver to respond to the approval request. See Approving or requesting a change to a policy.

Approvers receive notifications as follows:

  • When an approval is created and assigned

  • If there are outstanding approvals, Hyperproof sends reminders:

    • 7 days prior to the due date

    • On the due date

    • Every 7 days after the due date

  • If the due date is changed

  • If the approver is @mentioned in a comment on the approval work item

A policy owner receives notifications as follows:

  • When the assigned approver has responded to the approval

  • When the policy owner is @mentioned in a comment on the approval

  • When the parent approval is completed by setting it to Approved or Changes Requested

All policy members receive notifications as follows:

  • When a policy version moves to Effective.

Note: The member who made the policy version effective doesn't receive a notification.
