Roles and permissions

In addition to the owner of the proof, the following roles can turn off a LiveSync:

  • Anyone with manager permissions for the proof

You can use LiveSync to automatically and continually import proof stored in an external cloud service into Hyperproof whenever that proof changes. For information on supported cloud services, see Managing proof: LiveSync.

There may be times when you need to pause this synchronization to suspend proof collection. To pause LiveSync, you can turn it off for the specific proof. You can turn off LiveSync from any place you can access proof.

Note: If you turn off LiveSync and are not the proof's owner, you can't turn it back on. You must upload a version of the same proof and turn on LiveSync or ask the owner to turn LiveSync on for the selected proof. For information about turning on LiveSync, see Using LiveSync.

To turn off LiveSync

  1. From the left menu, select Proof.

  2. From the proof list, select the LiveSync proof you want to turn off.

  3. Click the proof name to open the proof viewer.

  4. At the bottom of the Proof Picker, clear the LiveSync checkbox.

A confirmation window displays a list of affected files.

Note: If you selected a folder when you turned LiveSync on, turning LiveSync off for a piece of proof within that folder turns off LiveSync for all pieces of proof in that folder.

  5. Click Confirm to turn off LiveSync.
