Use the email component for automated email communications among collaborators. This component is designed to streamline sending emails with rich-text customization and optional review configurations. See Configuring workflow components.
Key features include:
Email notification settings
To - Specify the primary recipients of the email.
Cc - Add carbon copy recipients.
Bcc - Include blind carbon copy recipients.
Subject - Define the email subject line.
Body - Compose the email content using rich-text and variables.
Attachments - Option to add files or links to the email.
Review and Send - Option to enable a review step before sending the email.
Configuration options
Auto-fill fields - On loading, the component verifies pre-configured settings for fields like To, Cc, Bcc, Subject, and Body. If values are present, the component pre-fills these fields.
Review and Send configuration
Enabled - Users must review the email content before sending. The system displays all details for verification, allowing the user to modify and finalize the content.
Disabled - If all mandatory fields are correctly pre-filled, the email is automatically sent to the configured recipients. The system then proceeds to the next step in the workflow.
Rich-text editor - Compose emails using advanced formatting tools such as bold, italic, hyperlinks, bullet points, etc.
Error handling - Validates fields such as email addresses and required content before sending, and prompts users if any mandatory information is missing.
Sending the email - Once the email is sent, the user is either moved to the next step in the workflow or remains in the current step if additional action is required.
