HR / Payroll apps proof types and permissions

Most Hypersyncs that use Finch to collect proof aren't supported in Hyperproof EU, except for BambooHR and Workday, which are supported.

πŸ“ Note

Hyperproof connects to many third-party systems that frequently change, including the system interface. Contact your System Administrator or the third-party provider for assistance in meeting the requirements to integrate with Hyperproof and collect the proof you need.

Hyperproof supports a number of payroll and human resources apps.

Hyperproof uses Finch, a third-party API, to retrieve data from the payroll and human resources apps listed below. If you are interested in learning more about the permissions needed for Hypersyncs that use Finch, please refer to this document. Hyperproof uses the Directory, Individual, and Employment Endpoints from Finch.

Hypersync scheduling for Finch payroll apps

You can't manually sync a Hypersync for a Finch payroll application. Syncs are automatically run based on the frequency you select during setup:

  • Daily syncs

    • Hyperproof US and Hyperproof Gov: Run daily at 6:00 AM PST

    • Hyperproof EU: Run daily at 6:00 AM CET

  • Weekly Syncs - All instances (US, EU, and Gov): Run weekly on Mondays at 5:30 AM PST

  • Monthly Syncs - All instances (US, EU, and Gov): Run on the first day of the month at 5:00 AM PST

πŸ“ Note

Automatic sync times for Hypersyncs can't be customized.

List of apps supported via Finch

When you create a Hypersync between Hyperproof and one of these apps, you can automatically collect the following proof types:

  • List of Employees

  • Employees with Change in Employment Status

This Hypersync supports importing a company directory for an access review. See Importing a directory with a Hypersync for more information.

Blocking sensitive data from appearing in proof

Finch's Employment Endpoint typically includes sensitive data such as pay rates and social security numbers. If you want to block this information from appearing in Hypersync proof, it must be blocked during the initial Finch setup. Keep in mind that when processing data from any endpoint, only process and cache (or store) relevant fields and values.

πŸ“ Note

You only need to connect Hyperproof to the app once, and then you can create as many Hypersyncs as you need.

Additionally, you can create multiple Hypersyncs for a single control or label.

Connecting to an app from a control or label

  1. From the left menu, select either Controls or Labels, depending on the object you want to link the Hypersync to.

  2. Select the control or label for which you want to automate proof.

  3. Select the Automations tab.

  4. Click Create Hypersync.

    The Choose app window opens.

  5. Select your app.

    The Finch Connect window opens.

    πŸ“ Note

Hyperproof uses Finch, a third-party API, to streamline the connection process. For more information on how Hyperproof integrates with Finch, please refer to the Hyperproof Security Overview.

  6. Click Continue, and then click Continue again.

  7. Sign in to your account.

    πŸ“ Note

Depending on the app, you might be asked for your username and password or a token. The sign-in process varies by app.
