Hyperproof can help you collect and organize proof to make your compliance work more efficient, reduce redundant work, and support audit preparedness. Examples of that proof can be anything from data logs and meeting notes to screenshots, links, reports from third-party systems, and much more. Without proof and the ability to easily locate it, you can’t provide evidence that you are compliant with the requirements needed for certification.
Along with testing, implementation, freshness, and past due issues, proof is another important factor when determining the overall health of a control. There are several methods you can use to ensure that your proof is always up-to-date:
Use labels to collect and organize proof, and automatically add it to the right places.
Use automation to collect proof.
Configure automated tests to verify that the proof you have collected meets your needs.
Monitor control and label freshness to determine if updated proof needs to be collected.
Create tasks to request new or updated proof from team members in other departments.
Create repeating tasks to collect proof for recurring evidence, such as a monthly meeting.
Reusing proof
If you manage more than one compliance framework, it's likely that the proof you need to support a control in Program A is the same proof you need to support the same control in Program B.
Rather than uploading the proof to two different frameworks (and having to maintain the same piece of proof, doubling your work) you can create a label with that piece of proof and link it to both controls. This way, if your proof changes, e.g. log files have been updated, you only need to update the proof in the label. See Labels.
